7 fun challenge games for children and teenagers

The usefulness of games for children and teenagers is well established. Not only do they make them more creative and imaginative, but their contribution is much greater. Games help them develop a method of working, reasoning and certain physical and intellectual skills. Challenges are particularly important, as they help children to achieve a specific goal.

But finding suitable games isn't always that easy. Here are seven fun challenge games for children and teenagers. You can use them as inspiration to entertain your children.

1. The Gabaky

Our game is new and has been a runaway success. It's suitable for everyone aged three and over. This precision game is a fun challenge for your children. There's nothing complicated about the principle.

The Gabaky game consists of eight soft balls of two different colours and a target.

To play, the first player, either solo or in a team, has to throw the ball to get as close as possible to the centre of the target.

The opponent then has to start throwing to get even closer. He can also point at the opponent's ball to knock it off the board, as it is only the balls on the board that count. Each softball that is closer to the target than the opponent's softball wins a point. The player and team that score 13 points wins. Join our community of fans!

2. The Ping Pong belt game

It's not really about playing Ping Pong. This challenging game consists of putting ping pong balls in a box and fastening it to the child's hip with a belt. One side of the box is open. The idea is to get all five balls out, but only for a very short time.

The player has just one minute to get all the ping pong balls out of the box. To do this, they can use all sorts of methods. For example, you can jump, move a lot, wiggle and dance. Anything goes.

Children and teenagers have fun, but they also develop a certain strategy.

3. Transferring balls with a spoon in the mouth

This is an interesting challenge game that really captures the attention of children and teenagers. It requires 3 pieces of equipment: a spoon, ping pong balls and bowls. Played individually, each player must try to move the Ping Pong balls from one bowl to another.

He cannot use his hands, but must use a spoon in his mouth to lift the ball. Care must be taken not to drop the ball. The player who manages to carry the most balls wins the game.

4. The bucket head game

It's a challenge to be played in a group, forming two teams of at least two children or teenagers. The accessories are a bucket and ping pong balls. In each team, one of the players holds a bucket over his head.

Then his team-mates have to throw the balls about 4 or 5 metres away from him. The aim is to get as many balls in as possible within one minute.

The winning team is the one that pockets the most ping pong balls. This challenging game looks easy, yet it requires a great sense of precision from the ball throwers. What's more, it can be made even more complicated by requiring players to bounce once on the ground with each throw.

5. The biscuit sliding challenge

Children love games involving food, especially biscuits and sweets. This biscuit sliding challenge is great fun. And the reward is immediate. If the child successfully completes the challenge, they can eat the biscuit straight away.

First, you have to put the biscuit on your forehead. Then the task is to slide it into your mouth. The hardest part is keeping hold of the biscuit, not dropping it on the floor and not being able to use your hand. So you need to be careful and precise during this challenging game. Finally, the time limit for sliding the biscuit is always one minute. After that, the child loses the game.

6. The game with the cereal box

Do you have a few boxes of cereals at home? You can use them to entertain your little ones, so don't throw them away. In fact, you can use any other box, as the principle of the game remains the same.

First of all, you need to divide the children into teams. You need as many boxes as there are teams. Then they have to cut the boxes into many pieces. The challenge awaiting the children is to reconstitute the box and return it to its original state. The scattered pieces have to be put back together.

The complexity of the challenge lies in cutting up the box. You have to try and break it up into small pieces. Avoid cutting the box in a straight line, as this would make it easy to reconstruct.

7. Building a cup pyramid

One of the favourite distractions for children and teenagers is building a pyramid in record time using several cups.

Place 28 cups one at a time in the shape of a pyramid. The child must be well organised to achieve this goal. For example, they need to be careful about how many cups to place at the bottom. Once built, the pyramid must be unstacked. Both operations must be completed within the allotted time.

So if the child manages to stack and unstack the cups, but the time is up, they've lost the challenge.

Which challenge should you choose?

Kids and teens can have a lot of fun with some of these seven fun and competitive rivalry games.

With Gabaky, the bucket head game and transferring balls with a spoon in the mouth, they can stimulate their precision.

The Ping Pong belt game, cup pyramid construction and biscuit sliding challenge help children develop self-confidence. Finally, the cereal box game helps them memorise. The competition at home is on!
