What was initially just a moment of togetherness turned into a true adventure. An idea, a few trials, a lot of passion… and soon, a captivating game was born.

The story of Gabaky – From the idea to the game that brings people together
A creative Sunday
November 2018, a family gathering: Sébastien and his son Gabriel, five years old, are in the middle of a game session.
Faced with the absence of holes to play traditional marbles, they decided to reinvent curling seen on TV using marbles.
Their living room quickly transforms with a few A4 sheets taped to the floor, on which a multicolored target is carefully drawn. The game begins, filled with laughter and improvised strategies.
A color problem
The game quickly takes a complicated turn, as all the balls are then the same color. Gabriel, dissatisfied with the idea of using tape to differentiate them, urges his father to look for an alternative.
Suggestions fly: a cork, a sock... But nothing seems suitable. That's when Gabriel has a flash of genius: why not use dad's juggling balls? These soft balls are perfectly suited for the improvised game.
Thus, Gabaky is born, a game that combines pétanque, palet, and curling in a quiet and safe format for children.
A decisive meeting
Motivated by this invention, Sébastien and his partner, Willy, dedicated the year 2019 to developing a prototype. They presented their creation at the Rennes International Fair, receiving an enthusiastic reception.
Gabaky, with its simple yet strategic rules, becomes an indoor game enjoyed by all, becoming a constant companion on their journeys. During a professional event, an impromptu game of Gabaky is played in the presence of Christian Karembeu, the famous 1998 football world champion.
Seduced by the originality and the enjoyment the game provides, Christian receives one of the first Gabaky copies as a gift. Convinced, he later contacts Sébastien to express how much his family and friends love the game and want to get one.
The Future of Gabaky
Moved by his enthusiasm, the partners propose to Christian Karembeu to become the ambassador of Gabaky. Joined beforehand by other Breton enthusiasts, Baptiste, Jacques, and Julien, they then form a team ready to propel Gabaky onto the Breton stage, then national and international.
Building on this prestigious collaboration and the passion shared by players of all ages, Gabaky promises to create unforgettable moments, not only in homes but also in communities, schools, nursing homes...
